Unreliable air conditioning units in passenger trains have posed challenges due to high energy costs and frequent maintenance requirements, often leading to service disruptions.

To address this, Creactive Design developed Cabcool, a compact solid-state air conditioning system. Since its introduction in 2005, Cabcool has operated flawlessly in London Underground’s Victoria Line cabs and is now installed on their Circle Line vehicles. The system consumes less energy while delivering comparable comfort levels and demonstrates exceptional reliability in harsh rail environments. Beyond metro vehicles, Cabcool has also been adopted for Porterbrook’s Class 319 main line rolling stock.
